quick doodle of Achii

might use this shot actually if i play with lighting and colours a bit

this was just to show you his wings
they are clipped because he tries to fly even with his injury causing him to crash

(this is the only time I will accept wing clipping myself if it is because the bird has an injury, any other reason inst good enough for me
things like flying in to windows and landing in p;aces you don't want them simply inst justification when you could easily put up blinds or move your precious items out of harms way.

you don't cut off a toddlers fingers so he doesn't stick them in an electrical socket do you?
no you cover the socket.

bluh
yeah it still bugs me

-Sigh- Reminds me of good memories when this story was still being made...
Seriously wish I could convince you to continue part 2. If there was a team or something you needed... -Misses Broken Wings-

I agree with you on the wing clipping. When my friends ( well her family's ) parakeet accidentally broke her wing from hitting a window, she begged her parents to leave the wings alone, but after she saw her birds trying to fly in the cage with her wing she had no choice.. ;n;

still not a good enough reason why not put up blinds or curtains instead, or show the bird there is glass there
with all; my birds I take them over to the window holding them and let them tap their beak against the glass then let them sit on the windowsill

parakeets are smart animals
my birds only ever crashed in to the window when I first got them before i did that but usually when they are young no injury occurs because they do not have strong flight muscles yet and fly slower
still blinds and net curtains are cheap and easy its really no excuse to mutilate your pet just so you don't have to worry about an open window (even open blinds birds won't usually fly in to)

I really hope her parent reconsider for the birds sake
the best form of excerize for a bird is flying it keeps them healthy and fir and happy
many clipped birds suffer from depression more so than unclipped because they cant fly away from situations that upset them and don't feel safe because of it being flight response creatures.

if i could go to her house and debate it I totally would :c

shes tried, her parents even agreed to take the parakeet back to the vet to make sure it was okay, but the vet said that the bones hadn't healed right, so she cant fly, with or without her feathers... :c so her parents have decided to keep cutting them...

me and my friend both hate it, but her parents wont even consider letting them grow back, even though she cant fly...
