about this drawing:

Well I know a lot of people have asked me if they could make pheasant characters and have made pheasant characters after seeing eyesore

which is great pheasants need more love!

however one thing that bothers me everyone who does so seems to copy the body type and feather arrangement of eyesore when she herself is a mixture of several pheasant breeds for inspiration and a lot of personal changes too.

so to help people vary their design and perhaps use some more unusual breeds or mix a few together to make up their own I thought I'd post drawings of a bunch of different pheasant species

so here is part 1 of this task:
the golden pheasant and the common pheasant.
(which are the two pheasants that eyesore is based on)

both birds here can vary in colour and common pheasants often have variations of white and green plumage

the mechanistic common pheasant is a colour mutation found in the wild and looks a lot like the green pheasant

the yellow golden pheasant is also a colour mutation.

female pheasants as a rule are always duller looking birds though some males may only have their flashy plumage in the summer/spring time with golden and common pheasants they tend to keep their plumage all year round.

Wow, this is great that your making this. I've made my own character who's a Silver Pheasant who I need to draw a reference for and, while I can use photos, it's a great help to see some animals drawn and how the artists depict them and draw the anatomy. I hope you do draw a Silver Pheasant in this project of yours. And even if you don't, these drawings will help me if I ever want to try drawing a pheasant character.
Anyway, I love the art here, and you are very good at drawings birds. I find it difficult personally.
